The University of Texas at Dallas Eugene McDermott Library is home to the Wildenstein-Plattner Collection and other Special Collections and Archives.
The Wildenstein-Plattner Collection can be browsed through the McDermott Library catalog with “Wildenstein Plattner Library Collection” entered as search criteria. Books from the main stacks are available to borrow with a valid library card and books in Special Collections can be consulted on campus by making an appointment with libspco@utdallas.edu.
The Brettell Reading Room is a quiet study and convening space in memory of the late Dr. Richard Brettell, founding director of the Edith O’Donnell Institute of Art History. It houses Dr. Brettell’s personal library of nearly 2,500 books and is located inside the Edith and Peter O’Donnell Jr. Athenaeum. Books in the Brettell Reading Room can be browsed through the McDermott Library catalog with “Richard R. Brettell personal collection” entered as search criteria. Books are non-circulating and viewable during public Athenaeum hours.
The Crow Museum of Asian Art of The University of Texas at Dallas
The Crow Museum’s collection demonstrates the diversity of Asian art, with more than 1,000 works from Cambodia, China (including Tibet), India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Thailand and Vietnam, spanning from the ancient to the contemporary, as well as a library of more than 12,000 books, catalogs and journals.
