Healing Environments of Chronic Infirmity: The Ospedale degli Incurabili in Sixteenth-Century Naples
Focusing on the Ospedale Santa Maria del Popolo degli Incurabili, this seminar investigates the architecture and urban spaces that shaped healing environments for chronic infirmities in early modern Naples. The Ospedale was a part of a larger hospital network, but shows particular characteristics related to its position in the center of the city.
