Institute for the Study of American Art in China (ISAAC)
The Institute for the Study of American Art in China (ISAAC) was a three-year collaboration between Nanjing University , the Edith O’Donnell Institute of Art History, and the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, with the support of the Terra Foundation for American Art.
In conjunction with the exhibition Revelation: The Art of James Magee at the Nasher Sculpture Center, O’Donnell Institute Founding Director Richard R. Brettell, Nasher curator Jed Morse, and photographer Tom Jenkins collaborated to produce a volume that documents James Magee’s site-based project, The Hill, in far west Texas.
